No big deal, right?
What's in there, you ask? I sure as hell isn't Coors Lite.
We're talking about Big, Red, Sticky here, boys and girls. I currently have a 1/6 keg of Oskar Blues Brewery's G'Knight!
This god of beer is my absolute favorite beer. Let me get that out there first. It is an Imperial Red IPA at 8.7% ABV and 60 IBUs. Here's the official reel:
Our "Velvet M-80" is a hefty, dry hopped double-red ipa with a nose full or aroma, a sticky mouthfeel, a malty middle and unctuous hop flavors.
The first thing you notice when you allow yourself this beergasm is the thickness of the liquid on your tongue. The taste is an explosion of malt and a slight finish with hops. Like a good Red IPA, it is not really bitter. The aftertaste is long lasting and pleasant. There's absolutely no reason not to drink these, except if you don't want to get a big of a head pounder the next day. Remember the ABVs on this guy are up there.
I really can't even describe this properly. All I can say is get some and drink it. I've drank this out of the can and in a snifter glass out of the keg. (I refrain from talking about the pours out of my keg right now. Lots of head for some reason).
Anyway, I score this guy 99/100. I only stop at 99 in case some beer comes along and blows my socks off in the future.
Beer Rating Key
100-90: The best beers. Beers that I go out of my way to drink often.
89-70: Recommended beers. Beers that I drink when the opportunity presents itself.
69-50: Average beers. Mostly drank only when nothing better is available. 49-30: Below average beers. Only drank out of desperation.
30-0: The worst beers. Only drank so I can say how terrible they are on this blog.
